Get to know Catherine, Head of Sales Operations at Treehouse

‍What do you do at Treehouse?

I lead our Sales team and am involved in project intake, communications, and the systems we use to support customers. I also work closely with our field team on project scoping and permitting. 

What were you doing prior to Treehouse, and why did you decide to join us?‍

I’ve always been interested in mobility, and, before joining Treehouse, I spent three years at a car-sharing start-up (Avail). At Avail, I led our customer support and CRM teams, worked with some awesome people, and created something from the ground up. After Avail, I spent a year building out the customer support team for a fintech (Lean) that provided instant payouts to gig workers. 

Share a memorable moment or project that you’ve worked on since joining Treehouse.

‍Since joining Treehouse, I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in a number of projects focused on scalability. Recently, we focused on refining our permitting and inspection processes. Each city’s permitting process works a little differently, and building tooling to support specificity for both permit and inspection processing has been an exciting and rewarding challenge. 

What's the best piece of advice you've ever received, and how do you apply it to your work at Treehouse?‍

If something goes wrong, we can fix it. Making mistakes isn't the end of the world. At Treehouse, my team and I work directly with customers every day, and we make mistakes now and then. When a mistake happens, we work together to learn from it then we move on. 

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

‍I live in Chicago with my husband and dog, and we love to grill out and enjoy city life.
