TL;DR

From the moment we met the team at Elephant Energy, we knew we shared a common vision: to simplify home electrification and enable more people to live sustainably. We recognized we had a unique opportunity to leverage our complementary expertise and capabilities to achieve our missions. Today, we’re excited to share our new partnership, offering homeowners a streamlined, efficient approach for transitioning to a climate-friendly home.

Heat pumps are one of the primary ways to make a home more sustainable - but installation can be overwhelming.

Compared to traditional HVAC systems, heat pumps are 3x more energy efficient because they use electricity to transfer existing heat from the outside air, rather than burning fossil fuels to generate it anew. This results in reduced carbon emissions, lower monthly energy bills, and significantly improved indoor air quality. Heat pumps are the most energy-efficient technology to keep a home both warm and cool, and upgrading to one of these systems is one of the most significant ways to make a home more sustainable.

Heat pump installations, however, can be complex, as they require both HVAC and electrical expertise. This can cause longer lead times and coordination challenges, as homeowners find themselves managing multiple contractors and site visits to their home. The result? Overwhelm. And a clear opportunity for a trusted partner with deep expertise in home electrification to orchestrate this work.

Enter: Treehouse + Elephant Energy!

With our partnership, we work together to provide Elephant customers a seamless heat pump installation experience. Treehouse provides the electrical expertise and scaled fulfillment capabilities required to install this equipment, and Elephant takes care of the rest, including managing the HVAC system design and installation from end-to-end.

The Treehouse API provides partners like Elephant with instant, guaranteed pricing for electrical services. Elephant’s team can request installation services from Treehouse by securely submitting project requirements and customer information. Webhooks provide real-time visibility into project status, ensuring both partners and customers are kept updated every step of the way.

What does this mean for homeowners?

Maximum convenience, competitive pricing, and a faster, more streamlined installation experience. Our partnership eliminates the hassle and makes it easy and simple to transition to a heat pump.

Treehouse and Elephant Energy also join forces in other ways to support customers who are transitioning to climate-friendly homes, including upgrading to heat pump water heater systems. These systems are 2-3 times more efficient than traditional water heaters, lowering a home’s footprint and drastically reducing utility bills. Like with heat pumps, Treehouse can handle the electrical aspects of these installations while Elephant takes care of the rest – all while providing a seamless customer experience with unparalleled expertise.

We’re already supporting customers together in Colorado, where our combined efforts are helping homeowners transition to climate-friendly technologies. We’re excited to see our partnership grow as we look to expand our impact by serving even more homeowners across the country.
