Electrification Simplified: Our Expanded Capabilities

We started Treehouse with the ambition to simplify the installation of all kinds of electrification products.

We focused initially on residential EV charging because we saw a massive opportunity - not only due to the millions of EVs expected to be on the road by 2030, but because the market needed a better solution. We entered a space with a lack of pricing transparency, decentralized ownership of projects, and subpar customer experiences. Fast forward to today, and we have helped thousands of EV drivers have a delightful, seamless experience from vehicle purchase to charger installation and beyond.

Over the last several months, we’ve been working on expanding our capabilities as an electrification company. And today, we’re launching our brand new website, announcing our arrival as a 21st century electrical contractor, powered by AI and vertically integrated. 

We now support partners and customers with load center upgrades, bi-directional charging, energy storage systems, induction stoves, the electrical work associated with heat pump installation, and commercial and multi-family EV charging. ‘Support’ doesn’t just mean that we can do installations in those categories - it means that we can deliver instant installation pricing via API and have built AI and other software enabling us to scope, design, permit, and install products faster with greater precision. We own customer experiences for every electrification project from the point of sale (wherever that point of sale might be) to installation day and beyond. 

We’ve learned that the same problems we saw in EV charging exist across the electrification ecosystem. The market is dominated by marketplaces, in which no one truly owns the project and the customer experience end-to-end. The result is that electrification upgrades that should create delight end up being negative experiences with hidden costs and a series of messy handoffs between stakeholders. Not only does this create a poor experience for end customers, but often prevents them from pursuing electrification upgrades in the first place.

Treehouse is here to change that by simplifying electrification. That’s how we’re going to achieve our mission to accelerate the decarbonization of the places we live and work.
